Re: Question (for Gunter?) on Saxon cuirassiers

Other heads I ma sure will have firmer information but mu understanding was that Saxons wore the buff coat under their breast plate an then the coat, what you are seeing as a buff coat in the later period is perhaps just the outer coat left off in hot weather?

Re: GNW Saxons and Polish review so far

The foot are Plastic with Metal command, the Dragoons Plastic which I like a bit less, the heavies are Warfare and the guns Ebor. They mix well.

Exciting stuff Barry, looking forward to that. Initial goal is to get a regiment of 18 from you to add to those I already have and will give me 6 units of horse.

Re: Reviewing the Swedes.

Cheers Barry. My plan for Swedes is that each Cavalry unit is roughly a double squadron and is the same physical size on the table as a battalion which feels about right but hard to talk people through as a squadron or regiment is more the norm. Re: Cavalry basing

Agree with all the above, my own horse are on 60mm frontage and 80mm depth and I do manage to get 3 figures in but not side by side, either staggered or for my swedes by slotting one foot behind the next mans heel to create a shallow wedge which does look nice.
