Re: Happy Birthday Colin

Thanks gents. Unfortunately all celebrating has been postponed as the twins have chicken pox!

The plastic and alloy officer cadre in our household are relieved at this temporary reprieve from my 'generalship'.

Wisely the French commanders decided to let me be Ney which had the advantage of keeping me away from dice for most of the day!

Donnybrook Daubs

Having finished off the Huguenots for BLB, I have decided to embark on a project of painting... eh more Huguenots but this time for Donnybrook. First up are a few dismounted types from Schomberg's Horse. http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/q788/ColinNapier/hug1-700_zpspaaan4f6.jpg http://i1359.photo...

Re: Derby weekender 2014

Thanks everybody for another great weekend. The conclusion of the Aughrim game on Saturday will live long in the memory (or the Jacobite commanders' expressions will :D), the performance of the Swedish left on Sunday, less so; sorry I just didn't have enough of the Abba loving, fondue eating fanatic...

Hi Barry,

No big surprises from me or even small ones! All Huguenot all the time!

Schomberg's Horse

Foot all musket:
La Meloniere
Le Caillemotte's
Cambons

I can also bring one large gun, some officers and a few commanded shot.

Cheers,
Colin

Re: Huguenots in Ireland 1690

Hello Colin, Small advice my Friend: Try to give the gun a larger base next time because those instruments the gunners use tend to bend under the touchy fingers when you put the gun into position. Talking out of experience  Cheers Günter I'll bear that in mind for the next one :D Give yoursel...

Re: Huguenots in Ireland 1690

Some much needed artillery support for the Huguenots. This is of course not a Huguenot unit but you never know where a Williamite officer and crew may have come from! http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/q788/ColinNapier/can1_zps120f3831.jpg http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/q788/ColinNapier/can2_z...
