Re: MacDonalds Flag

While working on Jacobite Scots flags, I couldn't help notice that one of the MacDonalds was missing... Ok, I am really, really sorry... really... And well you might be...particularly when wags begin adding them to their armies. From on-board OED: wag2 n. informal – ORIGIN C16 (denoting a you...

Re: "Danish Troops in the Williamite Army in Ireland, 1689-9

Rebel, Rohan et al: it's good, in fact excellent !! I can second Rebel's comments - this book is excellent. I purchased mine from Book Depository in UK (best prices with postage to Australia, usually). Thanks for the positive comments. It is some rare excitement when a really useful book on an esote...

We're able to get this part of your order to you faster than we originally promised: Kjeld Hald Galster "Danish Troops in the Williamite Army in Irela...

Re: WARFARE PRIVATE COMMISSIONS - WHAT INTERESTS YOU?

Hi guys, In general GNW is something I'd be enthusiastic about having a go at. 'Nuf said... As I said earlier, sign me up, and I will support the effort as best I can. GNW, the time from 1699 to 1704. I do support the Saxon "venture" and would like also to see 1683 catered for as practicality allow...

Re: WARFARE PRIVATE COMMISSIONS - WHAT INTERESTS YOU?

Gunter, You have a GNW range ally in me (of, perhaps a Swedish enemy!). I think GNW would make a great range. Gunter & Barry, et al: Same here regarding Saxons & GNW. Did Barry publish the theoretical investment mechanism and projections here somewhere? He briefly described them to me in a PM (whic...

Re: New Swiss Pikemen for North Star 1672

Nick: Steve Saleh has just finished the Swiss Pikemen for our 1672 range. We have followed Mark Copplestones poses upto now with our new figures, these move away from that. Nick Would he entrain the idea the broadening the scope of the range by adding musketeers in different poses to those types (na...

FAQ re "Postage" at the Foundry site

Hello all: This all I have found thus far. Again, mid-life brain function may be mitigating my success. Perhaps one is intended to gain knowledge of the postage policy only though using the "Cart"? Can anyone provide enlightenment through reading of the following? Postage Many compani...

Re: The "New Foundry's" shipping to the USA?

Hello Greg: Michael, I took advantage of the 60% off their book selection. So I placed an order with a book, (free shipping) and two vignetts. Well, their web site screwed up and come to find out, the book was not available and got a refund. Thanks for the comments. On the "Book Fiasco" front I orde...

The "New Foundry's" shipping to the USA?

Hello: Not looking to provide a new rant thread, really. I have been attempting, at their website, to simply learn what the rates will be without actually playing with the "Cart". Does anyone know as yet, do Foundry even know as yet? I should hope so since the "Cart" and selection seem ...

Re: Foundry have finally woken up

Soon I'll be yearning for individually wrapped Spangles, penny mixes and black and white TV programmes. Whatever happened to the 20th century friends??? Barry: We wuz robbed, that's wot! It* came, hulking, in the night and digitized everything up to, and including, our pints! *Century...

Re: Foundry have finally woken up

Paul: Awful, awful figures, the worst I've ever seen! There are ranges of fantasy orcs and ogres that look more human than these misshapen monstrosities. Are you saying the Marlburians are even worse than the new Renaissance? Probably a close one but I give the "Ugliest Dog of the Year" to t...
