Pabblo41,

Do you have the source for that information? Right now the only place I'm getting any detail from is either Osprey or Funcken and I'm not sure I can trust those sources. Thanks.

Size of the Garde-Francaises in the LoA & WSS

Can someone tell me what the size of a battalion of Garde-Francaises would be during the WSS? The two Osprey books (Louis XIV & Louis XV) say 200 man companies in time of war and a battalion was made up of 6 of them. Other sources say 126 men per company while others say the Garde-Francaises was not...

Jeff, although I understand your wish to have the name be something around the Grand Alliances Dan Schorr has posted a great comment on a name and what it really means. I think that Dan is right in regards to Louis XIV being the focal point of all of this. The Alliances, the other people mentioned a...

You know what is funny is this is the third time I've heard the expression 'pull your finger out' in the last few months. The first time was while I was on a businesss trip to Bristol in January. A co-worker there had told someone in the U.S. to 'pull their finger out' because he needed to them hurr...

Are those Dixon or Foundry figures? They are very nice. One day your going to have to show up at Historicon and run a game with your stuff.

Gaming Conventions/Shows in UK during January?

Are there any conventions/shows in the UK during January? I'll be in the Birmingham area the week of January 15th and I'd love to stop by if one is going on the weekend prior or following. Thanks.

Barry,

I'm more then willing to pay for a set of rules so I can use my French Revolutionary figures. It gives me something to paint for but I understand the priorities in life. It's just that our families never understand
