Re: Swedish Grenadier???

This is the Knotel plate I mentioned, clearly related to the first image, with all the problems Tacitus has made clear. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/dd/Kn%C3%B6tel_III,_36.jpg My guess is that it was inspired by this cap, which it resembles; http://rusmilhist.blogspot.co.uk/2012/1...

Re: Swedish Grenadier???

Hmm, I really don't know about those lapels for the GNW, I suspect they came later. Though I have seen that hat illustrated before, Knotel for one. I think there was some discussion of this a while back on the forum. If you have a look at Chamenkov's work he illustrates a similar mitre, but I am not...

The Ulster Guy Fawkes

I once had a chat with Barry over the phone where we were talking about the Siege of Derry and the subject of the unfortunate Robert Lundy came up, Barry was wondering if his actions are still remembered. They certainly still are; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-25274823 It would still...

Re: Swedish language help

I can't speak Swedish, but google translate (which is quite good) gives; Of silver gilt with the king's crowned monogram in royal crown and other decoration in enamel that's not a fluid translation, but may make sense in context? "Under" rather than "in" royal crown? namnchiffer given as cypher or m...

Re: New 18mm WSS line

I think it will be, Jon and I chatted about the Spanish (just a consultation, Mike Broadbent is sculpting the line), so likely it will expand in due course.

I didn't find it initially either, only when I added "Tome 8" to the search did it work.

As far as more French infantry is concerned; yes more are planned.

We've changed the way sculpts are going to be tackled. The first stage of French prototypes is under way.

Re: 16th Century Irish

Cheers guys. It was a bit frustrating to know these were done and awaiting release. Like my work for Warfare I enjoyed doing them because of the local angle. Its an army I'd like to collect if I had the space, the time or the money. I do find it a bit puzzling that the 16th Century isn't wargamed mo...

16th Century Irish

Some non-Warfare stuff for once, here's a look at some 15mm 16th Century Irish which I sculpted and painted for Khurasan. They were done about a year ago, but are only now being released so I am allowed to post them! Photos are very slightly out of focus unfortunately. Great enemies for any Elizabet...
