I personally would not hold my breath waiting for drastic changes as such, all that has happened is a little tweak to try get some customer base back and it will soon be business as usual in the same old style we are accustomed to from Ansell enterprises (now a family business).

Damn I'm getting old and cynical.

Having bought the Franco Prussian range when they first came out, which to me was a real step change in the quality of toys, I haven't bought anything from them for at least fifteen years for all the reasons enumerated above.

I will believe Foundry have changed when I see it, I am not holding my breath...

Going back to the title of this thread, Foundry haven't woken up, they have changed all the management. It wasn't due to market pressure, but to one of the owners retiring. I think you will see lots of changes, but I wouldn't want to speculate what they'll be.

Michael,
"Who let the dogs out...whoof whoof..."

That's what I'm talking about! I totaly forgot about the guys in cloaks, etc. I had to make a few mods to the figures that I did get, but this is really a treat. Once I get my school money in...sending out an order.

Funny thing, is I just ordered two of the French Vinettes of the last line...should be here any day.

Thanks again!!!

Maybe I should have titled the thread

Have Foundry woken up?

I suspect it demands on which member of the leadership team has retired and what position he had.. that will define what actually changes

Barry et' all,
I believe they have. Just received my order today. I placed a very large order for their GNW stuff and a few Vikings packs too. The shipping is included in the cost of the packs. So when I checked out, there was a big fat "0" in the shipping box. Very pleased with the old school stuff!!!
Shipping to the U.S. was 13 days. Had to get it in way before the Olympics start. My order was processed and shipped within 1 day...got an e-mail update on that process.

BTW - I got the Cobbler and Infantry in Camp set, very nice too...love them vignettes.

By the end of the summer hope to do a big order of the Warfare line...all this hype for 9YW and the Scanian Wars has inspired me to paint up more units for that period...thanks Ray R.
