What color did French WSS artillery pieces have?

What color did French WSS artillery pieces have?

I'm about to paint a 24pdr for a mini diorama, what color did both the wood and barrle have?

Brass or bronze barrels where usually polished & iron ones painted black to prevent rust - not sure what colour the for the carriages limbers etc, but generally brass bronze fittings would be polished and iron ones painted or even if it was fixed at this time.

The usual answers for the carriage are red or blue for the French. Some say red earlier and blue later. Either of those colors and you can't go wrong.
