The Other Partizan Show Report

Post by Atheling » Sat Sep 07, 2013 8:21 am

I'll leave the title of the thread to act as guidance as to what this little report is about.

It was a great show. wonderful to catch up with so many folk, over the entire weekend, not just at Partizan.

Here are the obligatory pics to act as a tempter- there are of course a load more on my Blog:

Thanks for posting. I very much enjoyed the LoA pics - some spectacular terrain and figures. It was also great to see the North Star 1672 range being shown off. I am building a French army using this range and it is heartening to know that, although North Star have really moved into the skirmish market, they are still fully behind the superb ex-Copplestone figures. There must be nothing more soul destroying than seeing a range being withdrawn when you are using them to build an army (particularly with 28mm as this does take some time).

Excellent stuff - thank you.

Darrell, good report and photos, Aly's game was the battle of Hook's Farm from H.G. Wells book little wars and was to commemorate its 100 anniversary. The battle was set around the book The Great War in Britain 1897 in which a Franco-Russian force invades Britain, there are great illustrations of Russians fighting in Princess St. gardens in Edinburgh, Russian destroyers sailing under the Tyne bridge in Newcastle and French artillery bombarding Crystal Palace. The French are wearing experimental uniforms that they were trying out to modernize their army at the end of the century.

You can find Aly's build up to the game with lots of pics of his lovely toys at this link.
