Have almost completed the round trip from Washington to Gettysburg, Antietam , Warrenton ( for J S Mosby) , Appomattox where I met general Lee , General Longstreet, gen Pickett, Gen Grant and Gen Meade. Then to Lexington for Lee and Jacksons tomb, the VMI, , Newmarket, down the shenandoah valley, through the manassas gap to bull run, dumfries!,Richmond, five forks,Petersburg and tomorrow Chancellorsville and the seven days!
Now been in more battlefields than Robert E Lee!
Need another holiday and an extra suitcase!

Hi Josh,

I did such that trip 25 years ago as I started from Washington to the Mississippi and down to New Orleans.

Btw., you shouldn't be the penny-pinching Scotsman :wink: and buy yourself another suitcase full of fresh clothes :lol:
