Hi Gunny,
I read you! Loud and clear :D
So the TYW will get, for the First time ever for me, both factions, Protestant/Catholic-Imperial and Protestant/Swedish. I can only hope my wallet is up for this huge task  . The Timeframe will stay the same as 1635 - 1645, almost all of the warfaring parties changed to the Netherland Ordonnance System of 2/3rd Musketeers and 1/3rd Pikes (no Schweinsfedern).

Cheers,
Günter

Hi Rob, thanks for the Title :D
Rob Herrick wrote:First off, Saxon Polish Uhlans are very much needed. I'm not aware of anybody sculpting them in 25/28mm or 15/18mm:

I believe I have two books where I have seen those Uhlans
Filling gaps in other Manucturers ranges is a difficult task as those Miniatures may be a "one-off" sale :|
Rob Herrick wrote:Also, I'm not aware of a sculpt of the Graf Brühl Chevauxlegers in the short mitre cap. While it was not issued for the SYW, it was worn during the War of Austrian Succession.
Not impossible. Same Source I believe but also like the above Units a "gap-filler" It is no me who have to decides to do it. But you may contact Steve yourself and give him a commission?

Rob Herrick wrote:For the Franco-Prussian War, I'd like more German cavalry, especially Hussars and Uhlans. While Foundry and Helion do make them, the number of poses available are not many. Moreover, German cavalry, especially the hussars, are ideal for FPW skirmish games, given their role for scouting. As such, I'd like some dismounts. Foundry does dismounted Dragoons and Hussars, but that's it. You did an impressive job with the dismounted Saxon hussars for post-1812, and there's a serious need for dismounted cavalry in this period if you want to do skirmish games. Dismounted French, especially chasseurs d'Afrique, would also be useful for colonials in Africa.
Well, I have allready given Order for the Lancers to be done, followed be Saxon "Riders". Eventually we will extend the Range, after releasing the Prussian Infantry, by Hussars. Dismounted Horsemen with Horseholders are definetely a must-have. The Sculpts will come with seperate heads and Lance-Arm for customize able positioning.
Rob Herrick wrote:If possible, could figures be cast headless, allowing for multiple different kinds of headgear to be sold? That might make the figures cheaper to produce, so you don't need separate casts for the Death's Head and non Death's head hussars, regular uhlans and the Bavarian chevauxlegers, Bavarian and Prussian cuirassiers, and the various kepis, busbys and czapskas worn by the French. It'd also help converting said Hussars to British ones, since the atilla is the same as the German one.
Time will tell, how the FPW-Range will develope. Currently it is part of my Commission to Steve who has actually to decide how far he will go if not to produce again a "one-off" Range as he/we did with my Napoleonic-Saxons

Hope that helps and stay tuned! :D

Cheers,
Günter

Well, they were more indicative of the plausibility of a "Saxon" line, should you be interested in the SYW or, better for Saxony, the Wars of Polish and Austrian succession. The Saxons have enough "one off" stuff, even if you don't include the Polish units, that you could specialize there if you wanted to and not conflict with any of the major figure distributors. More niche, less one off.

Unfortunately for me, my SYW collection is in 15mm!

That is appreciated. The mid 1800s have lots of realm for skirmish as well as big battles, and skirmishes are probably more fun if you want to fight the evil Prussians.
With Gen'l Custer Down in Mexico: Yes, one of the goals is to see how many times one can get him killed.

I would like to see Hanovarian 1866 myself, preferably to fit in with the Helion/Northstar ranges.

Hi Ben,

My infos about their appearance are a bit thin. Mind to point me to pics of them?
