28mm Crimean War Figures

Post by parkinspieces » Sat Oct 31, 2009 9:22 pm

Hi all,

You may be interested to know that a little birdie has told me that Dave and Aly from GWM have started on sculpting figures for their forthcoming Crimean range  . Apparently they have started on the British Line & Guards (hopefully in great coats first :P )

Personally, I look forward to when they do Turks and French

Should imagine, well hoping any way, that they will release the first of this range sometime next year :?

Oh yes, just in case any one interested in their WW1 range (and how can you not be), Dave is just finishing off the 1914 German Uhlans........urray!!

"Get behind me, Satan!"

I really need to start another period. Norma, my boss for the last fifteen years, has only just allowed me to populate the manor with Louis XIV's wee Frenchmen.

Yeah, come off it PARKIN!! You are THE WARGAMING FIFTH COLUMNIST... spreading distraction, confusion and knocking good projects off track with your sales patter

We can compare how many we've each done when we next cross tape measures

Stuart, you shouldn't have mentioned this as I can just see a certain Mr Lauders blood pressure going through the roof.

I was talking to Aly the other day and he mentioned that they might also be doing Sardinians for the period.

Cheers

Hi Dave (and a sceptic Barry  )

Yes I've just had a bit more info from Dave A and they will do British Guard and Line in normal "full dress" followed by campaign dress. They have been busy making the armatures and equipment so they can crack on with the range which should be quite a comprehensive one :D , Aly has even done the French shakos!!

Sardinians and French........hmm, do you reckon we could get Aly to do both 1859 and 1848 Austrians (and may be 1848 Hungarians)!!!

Oh yes, nearly forgot, size wise, they will be 28mm as their WW1 range.

Cheers

What are Warlord up to? It it almost like they are trying to put everyone else out of business by rushing in to as many things as the possibly can. It's like an arms race now...

Great choice fir gamers.. in the short term until a few companies go under
