Crimean war scenarios

Post by dashing blade » Sat Jan 16, 2016 9:06 pm

Hi folks, anyone know where I can get my hands on some Crimean war scenarios? Don't have a huge collection, but need to get some use out of the figures I have.
Currently
3 x Russian battalions
1 x Russian Dragoons
4 x Russian guns

4x British battalions
1x French battalion
Some rifle men
Small unit Hussars.
(The historical evidence that God comes from Lancashire is slim, however he's definitely not from Yorkshire)

I would suggest trying some of the assaults on the Russian trenches or the Quarry. You could also try a Russian sortie against the British trenches.
Another option is to try a game based on Little Inkerman.

I've written a number of scenarios for the period for the Four Empires rules but they are generally for slightly larger forces then you have although depending how large your regiments are perhaps they could be split into smaller units to give you more brigades? I'm not sure when Four Empires will be released as they seem to keep getting pushed back to allow other publications to have precedence.

Thanks for the scenarios Dave. Shall look out for the book in the future. Played an attack on a Russian outpost..........lost

Dave, any news on the Four Empires rules in terms of a penciled in release date/how they are developing?

Darrell.

They've been pushed back in the production line at the moment Darrell to concentrate on the Irish books. Barry 'the fat controller' would be the best person to comment on the production schedule.

Thanks for the answer Dave :)

That's what I expected, and running Warfare too will take it's toll on old father time too.

Still, I'm looking forward to it when it does arrive :)
