Imperialist and League Standards

Post by Rob Herrick » Mon Apr 25, 2011 8:24 pm

For the TYW, it's fairly easy to get details on the Swedish flags, and many different ones are commercially available.

For the Imperialists . . . not so much.

Does anybody have a good source (web or dead tree) that will list standards used by the Armies of Wallanstein and Tilly? I'm specifically interested in the 1630-1632 period, and right now my major interest would be the neu-Piccolomini and Gotz Cuirassiers, or anybody from Wallenstein's left wing.

Yeah, I have them bookmarked. They appear to be similar to the Imperialist flags on the Warflag group site which I also have (and may use).

I'm just hoping for additional/new stuff! I have the Osprey books on the way. The ones on the Swedes had both flag plates and additional flag descriptions so I can make some - I hope the Imperialists are as helpful.

The Imperial Army Infantry lack details of colours but just had a look at the Cavalry one and it has a fair few in it for you.
