Swedish Cavalry flags

Post by Rob Herrick » Sun May 29, 2011 10:08 pm

Now that I've done my digging, I'm asking for help with Swedish cavalry flags.

The one I'm having the hardest time finding is the blue standard used by the Smalands Cavalry Regiment.

Also, if anybody has any information on the German Reiter Regiments taken into Swedish service from the Danes, or the Courland Cuirassier regiment, that would be appreciated!

Yup, I have it bookmarked.

The problem is that the standard is speculative, and the yellow cornets of any design were not adopted until after 1635, so not what the unit would have flown when Gustavus led it into the melee at Lutzen.

Thanks, though!
