Great looking units! I'm looking at the TYW again. Are the flags your own?

Will be uploading sheets of the 30 years war flags soon on the main website
Here is one i made .. i have done around 10 so far and all are large to fit on a pike as there was no set size so they should look on a unit...got a book from Sweden coming to me about the captured flags so again they will be correct colours ect.

Excellent flag! According to my book 'The Troops of Electoral Saxony During the Thirty Years War' by Jean Belaubre he lists this one as a company flag from Lieb Regiment Schaumburg.
Look forward to seeing more of your great work and thanks for posting.
Cheers

There are way over 100 flags in the booklet, I got it about 20 years ago from Freikorps Miniatures.
The book was written by Jean Belaubre, illustrated by Jean Jacques Gilet and translated by Pat Condray and is a little gem but unfortunately I haven't done anything with all the info inside, it's always been on the to do list.
Cheers

IN HOG SIGNO VINCES - a presentation of the Swedish state trophy collection is the book, its from the Stockholm museum they have over 500 captured flags from the 30 years war, the book itself has a few flags in colour and is worth getting, if you send a email to the museum they will be shocked to hear none Swedish enquiring about the book as its unheard of...they are very helpful and the book is hardback 240 pages full of info....hope that helps you.

Posted the book 1st class this morning which used to mean that you would get it tomorrow but not sure these days. Looking forward to seeing more of your great flags if the Saxon and Bavarian ones you posted are anything to go by.
Cheers

There's no rush to get the book back, as I said previously I've had it for more than 20 years and done nothing with it and can't see me getting started in the immediate future. Are you guys putting on a game at Partizan?
Cheers

No .. but we did the Triples won best game and best display, you will have to get down to our club Dave we will put on a big game for you and any friends you bring, we mostly game with over 1000 figs each Monday, AWI, Franco Prussian, Sudan ect..everybody at the club is die-hard wargamers and it won't be a problem to arrange a game for you on one weekend, bed and breakfast around the town cheap and you can have a long weekend, will be going to Newark this year with some guys from the club.
