Not used war and conquest. Have very extensive play of Hail Caesar. Enjoyed every game so far.

Impetus works well, we used it for the Battle of Verneuil demo game at Salute in 2011 and have played a fair bit with friends. I would add one caveat, make sure you're not playing with a Win At All Costs type as they were designed for competition gaming.
