Step 3 = Heavy Cavalry: Garde du Corps, Zastrow/Leib-Kürassier Garde

Dear Friends,

To have a first taste how the Saxon-boys may look like in the near future I add a few pictures of a "Big Batallion". The figures shown have been painted by Neil Wilson (Wilson-miniatures) and are the old stuff that inspired me to get my very own Saxon figures.

Enjoy the ride:

Wow those Calpe figures look just amazingly well sculpted. HUGE but unparalleled for detail and animation.

Gentlemen,

To keep this up to date I give you the latest news:

Currently the Foot and Horse Artillery men are being in sculpting process.
They will be supported by a Figure that suits almost any Driver for the Train, the Limber Horses of the Foot and the Horse Artillery. Also 2 mounted Officers are almost ready.
Out of pratical reasons and because they are looking almost similar to the Horse Artillery 5 Figures of the Chevauxlegers are to be sculpted too. The Troopers will have seperate arms to carry a lance or a sabre. Sculpting maybe finished until end of June.
For those who are waiting for the Heavy Cavalry I have the following informations:
We currently study all resources we have to sculpt them eventually in August or Septembre this Year.

An Official Release of the Saxons is possible after doing the Chevauxlegers. But that decission is for my sculptor and for him alone.

Further updates to follow.

Cheers

Gentlemen,

as pointed out by a certain Individual  I herewith give you the latest update about what's going on.
Currently 3 of 5 Footartillery men and 2 mounted Officers have been sculpted. The scheduled time frame has been lenghtend a bit because of the human nature of the sculptor :) .
Mouldmaking process starts early in July.
While writing this lines the first 72 Saxon Line Infantry are to arrive from my painter.
As soon as they are in visual range of my camera I will present them to you

More News as they arrive.

Best Wishes

Günter
