League Of Augsburg - Fighting Talk

Dear Friends,

after some difficulties at the start of this year I am now able to tell you some news from my sculptor who managed to finish the Artillery Train horses and Drivers. They will go next week into the production mould making process.

Next in the row will be a huge number of Light Infantry sculpts, not quite in parade style, as only 4 to 5 figures would be for marching but more of the Skirmishing style as I intend to have about 8 or more figures for the fire fight.
I asked Steve to sculpt the skirmishing Light Infantry without its backpacks.
The backpacks should be sculpted seperately, on a pile of 15 to 20 of them, to mark the position from where they started to skirmish and where to return to form up again.
That is the plan.

Some elaboration for the Light Infantry how they should look IMHO (from the mail I sent to my sculptor)
Of the Light Infantry:
I think about 12 or more different figures.
For the Marching Order
Officers, trumpeter, a Drummer and Soldiers walking with musket on trail and musket hanging from the shoulder(5 figures).
For the Skirmishing
The usual subjects from your Westphalien Light Infantry, lying/kneeling/standing firing, the kneeling Trumpeter, the kneeling man grabbing into his ammo pouch, eventually one casualty figure, two men of different style running with musket on trail(8 figures).
All of the skirmishers WITHOUT a backpack!
Btw., can you sculpt a heap of 15 to 20 backpacks?

I would like to have also two figures for a 9 figure company of Sharpshooters which you would have to sculpt separately.
The Sharpshooter would have a large knapsack instead of a backpack, one of them standing up right, biting open the powder pack and holding Rifle on barrel, opened pan. The other a Horn-blower with a huge horn as you can see on “Jäger-Corps”.

My Sculptor was delighted by the ideas for the above

you are turning into the Donald Trump of Wargaming! You have so many projects on the go I reckon you should hire out your legions to the Austrian Government thus making Austria's armed forces the largest in Europe and able to take the field against EVERYONE else single handedly.

This project here has about 1500 Miniatures as the final target.

When the GNW is finished I will have about 1000 WF-Miniatures.

So, while many others split their efforts on 10 different timelines I have currently only two

So far 5 of the 9 intended Skirmishing figures are sculpted. They are followed be those marching. Most of them are taken from already existing miniatures of the Napoleonic Range and some have to be done from scratch.

More of it later.

Dear Friends,

For all who are still following this thread I add new images of recently based miniatures. I did those because of a lull in the GNW Range not wanting to waste time

First I added the second Battalion of the Leib-Grenadier Garde. Out of a painting error they got black gaitors instead of their usual white but I have accepted that now so they are easely to be identified .

Next is a new 'Green' Regiment, known as Prinz Friedrich August.

today I was a bit productive so I can now present the full 'green' Brigade:



Consisting of the Regiments Prinz Friedrich August and Prinz Clemens and the Grenadier Battalion von Liebenau









Also a Stand for the King of Saxony with his Staff.
Those figures are painted be me. This base will go to my father as a Birthday gift.







In addition there are two stands of Divisional Commanders
