Hundred Years War Disorder Markers- More Added 05.05.11

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Hundred Years War Disorder Markers- More Added 05.05.11

Post by Atheling » Fri Apr 29, 2011 7:38 pm

Hi Folks,

It's been too long since I posted anything so here are a few pics of the markers we used for our Battle of Verneuil demo game at Salute, which incidentally won best demo game!

The vignettes are used for marking units that are disordered in Impetus and they are a real boon to the game. Bits of card scattered all over the table just don't cut it really.

Hope you like them :) .

Darrell.

Dave,

They are a mix, the chap on the felled horse is an old mini from Foundry (I've actually got a couple more and have conversion plans for them both0 whilst the rest belong to the Perry Miniatures Agincourt to Orleans range.

Hope that helps?

Oh! Blimey! I forgot all about that!

I'd love to come along- I'll consult with "she who doesn't always but mostly gets obeyed anyway" and see what's what.

Thanks for the reminder!!

I fully agree that lumps of plastic or card detract from the game. You spend so long painting up your figures and terrain then put unsightly markers everywhere.

Really good markers you have there.

Yup, it sort of has to be done. Far better to have something attractive on the table top than 'orrible pieces of card.

Glad you like the vignettes :) .

As usual Darrell brillant paint job,i agree ,adds colour and animation to a table top. Any chance of seeing any for the WSS!. :D
