Vandals

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Vandals

Post by Eugenio von Savoy » Tue Jul 17, 2012 9:38 pm

Hi all
Thought I would share with you my latest project offerings.

This is the initial batch of 25mm Vandals using Old Glory figures from their ancient and Dark Age ranges with some of the usual headswops (mainly replaced with Westwind Late Roman heads).

Painting is by Barry from within the group and with the final highlighting, the shield designs and the basing by me.

This is about a third of the army, in total about 200 in all. They will face the early Byzantines painted up last year.

Currently looking at designs for their standards.

Very nice! Always fancied creating a Vandal force myself (might do it one day...). They certainly 'got around' a bit - so no shortage of opponents.
In enterprise of martial kind, When there was any fighting, He led his regiment from behind -
He found it less exciting.

Hi all
Update on Vandals. Now at 22 units completed including a couple of Moorish allied units for good measure.
Hope to get new pictures up on site soon.
