30 Years War Swedish command vignette 28mm ( Marshall Horn)

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

30 Years War Swedish command vignette 28mm ( Marshall Horn)

Post by chema1986 » Tue May 27, 2014 8:18 am

Hello again! it's me with more Swedish stuff... (no leather this time  )
This is my main command base for my Nördlingen 1634 project... Swedish Marshall Gustav Horn , with assistants and flag. As far as I know, this flag was used during TYW but I don´t know if it was used as a national flag... Anyway, I put in order to be easy recogniseable for gaming purposes.

I Have to finish my second 32 man strong Swedish regiment so that I can play Pike & Shotte with my father on June 20th... Thus an small game: 1 cavalry regiment and 2 pike and shotte units plus artillery and commanders per side. Spaniards vs Swedes. Now , the Command itself
I hope you like it !

Cheers !

Lovely vignette, I do like early-mid 17th century figures. Don't worry about your photographs, I wish I was as bad as you!

Thanks Gunfreak :) I know the flag is not the most accurate... But in my defense, I have to say that I bought from the TYW range of "Battleflag"
Should I have put the Blue flag with the 3 yellow crowns ? Thanks again

I wasn't refering to the historicy of the flag, just that all things swedish is evil and their flag is pure evil.

Very true!!
„Macht Euch Euren Dregg alleene“

"Sort your filth out by yourself!" The King of Saxony Friedrich August III., at his abdication 1918, referred to the quarrels in the parliament and the squabbling within the provisional government.
