French Royal des Carabiniers 1693

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

French Royal des Carabiniers 1693

Post by chema1986 » Mon Dec 22, 2014 10:36 pm

Hello gentlemen, I have (finally) finished another unit for my French "LOA" Project, this time a cavalry unit, I wanted an "elite" unit which fought on Flanders and on the Catalan front , so I picked the Royal des Carabiniers. The figures are all Dixon's Grand Alliance range. They are ok , but I prefer Front Rank miniatures. I like to try almost every manufacturer miniatures in my project, but of course, I dont mix them in the same unit. Next time I think I will paint some Dutch horse (Foundry minis... I'm too young and have not paint any Foundry cavalry in my life :P )
I hope you like them !! and Merry Christmas from España !

Cheers
