Completed 1806 Prussian regiment

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Completed 1806 Prussian regiment

Post by 18th Century Guy » Thu Mar 05, 2015 12:59 am

I've continued slowly working on my 1806 Prussian project and I've completed another regiment of infantry. This one will be the 1st regiment of the 2nd brigade so I'm on my way to having a full Division of 1806 Prussians as I already have 1 infantry brigade painted.

These figures are from the FGMiniZ company in France http://forgottenglorious.blogspot.fr/and I really do like them. The only issue I've had with them is that with the musketeers the musket barrel is fragile so I've taken to brushing them with superglue prior to priming and painting. That seems to help. The flags carried are done by Adolfo Ramos http://flags.adolforamos.com/?id_lang=1. I just finished spraying them with clear coat today because the weather was finally warm enough!

On to the photos -

As always, thanks for looking.

Wait until you see the cavalry! 15 squadrons of heavy cav and 10 of light plus Fusiliers, Jagers, and artillery. Should be a good looking division once I've completed it.

Lovely looking units on display, Greg! :D

I'll look forward to seeing the cavalry when they're ready.
