Perry Prussians

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Perry Prussians

Post by obriendavid » Sat Jul 09, 2016 6:29 pm

Has anyone had difficulty putting together the Perry plastic Prussians, especially the riflemen? The biggest problem I've had is getting the rifles off the sprue without breaking. Out of the 6 rifles in the set all 6 have snapped off at the butt no matter how carefully I try and cut them off.
Is this just me or have others had this problem?

Did I say I hate putting together plastic figures?
Cheers

That's taken me about three hours to put together the 6 Jagers from repairing all the broken rifles and scratching off the mould lines.
I'm not even confident that they won't break again the first time on the table.

There certainly is Barry! I'm pissed off with the plastic ones already and I haven't even gotten around to painting them yet.
