Varnished some figures I have been working on today. Had a bit of fun using a Warfare Command pack I bought in error to create a couple of Comman bases and finished the first of the Swedish Guard all for Great Northern War. More pictures and comments on the blog of course but a couple here.

I have just been reading about the battle of Gadebursh (9th December 1712) between Sweden and Denmark & Saxony and dangerous thinking I have the Swedes, a small Danish force so it would not take many Saxon units to be able to do it

The beauty of the Saxons is they fought alongside both the Danes, Russians and Poles and later the Prussians, they also fought in both the Austrian and Anglo/Dutch armies in the WSS so become multi use.

I must admit that is why I love this period of history so much, my collection covers engagements from the Monmouth Rebellion in 1685, through Ireland 1688/91, the WSS and the Great Northern War.
There is nothing better than multi use battalions

It's amazing you haven't already done it, given you probably got dozens and dozens of appropriate figures laying around!
