Dis mounting Dragoons

Post by J Anderson » Mon Aug 25, 2008 3:26 pm

Hi Barry

Having a week off from sending you glaringly obvious questions about the rules but do have one about dismounting dragoons. I`ve got a mounted and dismounted dragoon squadron painted now and haven`t had a chance to use them so what do you recommend for the amount of a turn used to dismount and/or re mount.

Jim.

Half a turn to mount or dismount Jim :D

Nice to read through the old messages, as I can now reply!

See, we did it wrong so far, making it a full turn.

But with (dis)mounting only half a turn, you can actually send your dragoons into the firing line real quick and discharge their carbines (with movement modifier)! Perhaps not that great, as you loose some benefit from the opening volley this way (+2 -2 = 0).
