Gentlemen,
as owner of the BtLB rules and (so far) a Napoleonic only-player, I now want to start a new Army.
After reading so much here about "The Duke" and "The Prince" I thought that the eastern theatre would suit me best, to be precise, the Wars of Sweden against Saxony and Poland to "pacify" August the Strong, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland.
After visiting the site of Dan Schorr I was convinced that I have found what I was looking for.
Now the next part has to follow: What figures would the best for Saxons and Poles?
So if you have any suggestions please let me know
Cheers
Günter

Reiver Castings do a good range of Saxons for the Great Northern War (plus Swedes, Russians et al) - Have a look at their website.

Thank You for the input!
Seems to be a good idea. Especially on the part of the Saxons who include a August the Strong-Figure.

Gunter,
Sorry we couldn't fit all of August's children on the base to go with the figure! 356 was it?
Drop us a line if you would like a sample.

Hi Rob,
I didnt thought to include a whole batallion of children into the Saxon Army of that time
Only one of them has grown to real importance for history, Marechal de Saxe.
Thank You for Your kind offer which I am very likely to accept.

Late to answer but better late than never
Thanks for that, they will come into consideration when Swedes and/or Russians are needed.
After all BlB(2) is not from the table
That reminds me to remind someone about the terrain tips...
Playing Saxons in this timeperiod has some gleam of a allways loosing as they got allways kicked in the "backside" by the Swedes.
But, alas, I want to do battles so who asks about winning?
Cheers

Wouldn't be too sure about that having seen his flat-packed Waterloo set up.
