Artillery

I was reading Churchill's question on Artillery on the BLB2 Playtest forum and a question came to mind.

For battalion guns (one per brigade under BLB) how did they transport the ammo or rather canon balls? If the battalion guns moved forward with the infantry then the ammo had to be carried forward also. How much ammo? Should battalion guns be allowed only so many shots per game.

Based on what I am hearing BLB2 is going to include an 'Artillery Park' for guns not unlike RtE. I think it will be an optional rule. As for limiting ammo that could be part of scenario design.

Sychronicity once more Gentlemen

I am considering that very issue right now. I think an optional rule will be written in for powder carts to support both battlaion guns and brigades simultaneously. The lack of such may have a detrimental effect on shooting of both muskets and light guns.
