Thanks, guys!
How did this bit of news leak? I thought I had been careful to avoid mentioning it was my birthday!

The bit about "Birthdays" at the bottom of the Board Index page rather gave you away Clarence!
A belated Happy Birthday by the way!

Did you manage to get a game for your birthday?
The League of Gentlemen Wargamers very kindly put on a large weekend game to celebrate my birthday each year which is nice, it would be even nicer if they let me win
Hope you had a good one!
Dave

Dave, very rarely to I get to throw dice... not only am I an armchair historian, I've become an armchair wargamer! I did get enough Perry continentals to build two infantry battalions from my wife... she even knew enough to order two command packs!

My copy arrived Thursday, and a fine piece of work it is, too.
I've been reading over them the last couple of days, and I have to say I'm very pleased with them. No doubt they'll make for some exciting games!

I have received my copy of the rulebook, and it is GREAT, GREAT. What a wonderful work, Barry and Clarence.
Now, I need only to buy the new models from "Warfare Miniatures"... when I can find then.
Cheers,
Juan

When questioned about it Mr Harrison rather unkindly said.. I paint what I see
My wife is already contacting a member of the 'family' in New Jersey who will be making a house call to Chesapeake VA

"H20372 UNDER THE LILY BANNER: Late C17th wargames Rules / - enlarged 2nd ed. paperback. £27.50 "
The above is from Caliver's monthly newsletter. I now await the Scottish version: "Underablow the Lily Banners".

Yes indeed, he can't even get the wrong thing right! It has been very amusing the lengths this man has gone to in order to get hold of BLB! I will not trade with him so he has tried various sneaky ways to get it from suppliers that I do supply. When that hasn't worked he's sent out Catspaws to buy from traders pretending to be punters! They then amass enough to supply him. Grace in defeat is alas a quality not in abundance. It has been fun to watch......... The biggest question is.. WHY?
Surely he has enough books... maybe he just loves what we produce

For any Antipodean members of the forum who might be interested - we have just received our copies at Eureka Miniatures.
Not on the Eureka website just yet (we are frantically busy just at the moment getting Nic the boss 'launched' at the USA for Historicon) but I hope to scan in the cover and get the copy written up for this weekend. In the meantime - give us a call or drop us an email if you can't wait. (Friday is mail out day - so orders can be shipped as early as tomorrow).
Looks lovely I might add
