Garrisons

Post by Juan Mancheño » Sat Jul 16, 2011 10:39 am

Hello.
I am reading the chapter of "Fighting in Built Up Areas" of BLB 2 and I have a doubt about the Garrisons. In page 59 you say that all the units garrisoning a place are "The Garrison", a single entity. But, with wich Quality? In the example on page 64 there are the Scots Foot Guards and Mackay´s Regiments garrisoning a village and they use the +2 Guards modifiers in the Morale Check and in the Stand and Fire check, the +1 D3 in the fire procedure, etc.

My question is: Must I use the Quality of the best unit in "The Garrison"?

Thank you,

Juan

Juan,

I would say "yes" due to the inspirational effect of the better quality units in the close confines of a built up area.

Thank you very much, Jim.

I have found in page 62 the answer for one of my questions. The morale rating of a Garrison is that of the best of its units. Perfect.

But... Why the Garrison utilize the quality of the best unit for purpose of fighting?
