Command Radius and Orders

Apologies again if this has been covered before but cannot see anything in the rules or on the forum.

The basic point I am trying to clarify is does a unit have to be in the command radius of its brigadier to receive an order?

It is just that we have had a couple of occasions when a cavalry unit wins a melee and then pursues which puts it out of range of its brigadier. If to receive an order it must be in command radius this would mean the brigadier going for a wander through enemy units

Thanks

Bryan

Not to receive an order. If it is beyond command radius and required to check morale it counts as Out of command and receives a minus. If it were checking to cease pursuit or stop before leaving the table it would be at a disadvantage -

Possible minus for casualties -1 or -2
Out of command -1
Disordered -1
Isolated (un supported)

Makes it difficult to pass checks. -Rally/Charge etc
