BUAs within BUAs?

Post by Justin Penwith » Fri Apr 11, 2014 2:34 pm

Barry (and any other knowledgeable gents),

How would one handle significantly different buildings with a defended village?

For example, let us say there is a medium sized village, mainly built of wood, with a single, large, stone church in the center of the village.

Could I have a square-ish BUA of size 3 and poor quality (sorry, I don't remember the quality levels and I don't have my book with me at work) and inside that BUA is another BUA of size 1 and good quality?

Would this be workable, you think?

My intent would be to have two defensible zones, with garrisons exclusive to them, one for the village and another for the church.

So, would one BUA inside the other be okay or would it be better to have 5 BUAs, four of which are size 2 and of poor quality, surrounding the fifth which is size 1 and good quality?

Barry, the more I work on getting ready for my campaign, the more I want to see an "official" campaign sourcebook from The League of Augsburg. :)
