Apologies for Another Morale Question

Post by Sir Humphrey Rtd » Sat Apr 12, 2014 2:07 pm

Now that we are doing the morale checks correctly (at the end of the turn) a couple of questions came up.

1) A cavalry unit has taken fire and is marked to take a morale test, in the close combat phase it reinforces a melee with friendly horse, so takes a morale test and passes to join the combat, which its side wins. The question is in the Morale Checks phase does it still take a test for receiving casualties? I could not see anything in the rules that says it doesn't.

2) An infantry unit is retreating and has to take a morale check at the end of the turn, which it fails and routs, the question is when do the units that see the rout take their morale checks? Do they check in the same morale check phase that the infantry unit routs (for those within 12" and LoS) or do they get a marker for a morale check and complete the check at the end of the subsequent phase?

Cheers

Bryan
