It's surprising that we are needing more French as in all my 30+ years of Napoleonic wargaming it's usually the French that most people go for but we are now choc-a -block with Dutch Belgians, Nassauers, Prussians and Brits and even the Russians are advancing ahead.

I've been building up my Old Guard of late with wagons, ambulances and other general baggage. It will give Andy something to game with at the next LOGW game and us Russkies something to chase and cut up. Don't say I'm not considerate to my little brother.

I've have about 250 cavalry and 450 infanty plus guns for the Frenchies plus Polish,Bavarian, Saxon and Swiss Allies.

Wish we could do these via Cisco Telepresence/HP Halo or something like that. It would be awesome to some how have overseas players in the game real-time.

October is resally bad for me, but I am contemplating if I could make one next year. Would anyone of the regular attendents pass by Glasgow Airport?

Just trying to figure out if this is a realistic idea coming in from Germany.

Edinburgh Airport is nearer. FRA - EDI, I have done that flight about 150 times in the last 10 years I know it very well! Someone would pick you up at Edinburgh.

would have guessed Glasgow. I will have to check... seems there are no direct flights from Düsseldorf (I live in the far west of Germany) right now. Anyway... this means it is not off the table, which is good. Maybe I can talk the missus intocombining it with a hiking trip the Scotland next year, so I could take the car over.

Picking you up from Edinburgh Airport would not be a problem as it would only be a minor detour on the way to Fife.

I am coming along next month and really looking forward to it. I have been based in the North for about four years and so my oppotunities for a big game have been limited. I can offer some French if needed. Five battalions (some in bicorn though) a battery of foot (again bicorn) and a regt of Dragoons. Just let me know if you want me to bring them along.

If you are comming in from Dusseldorf - check if you are coming in to Glagow Prestwick - it is not the same as Glasgow - a mistake I made when travelling with the delightful Easy Jet to Dusseldorf a few years back, and nearly missed the flight. Prestwick is quite a way from Glasgow and definitely further from Fife.

Thanks for the offer Matt. I am trying to make the game as 'hassle free' for all the players as possible so that you just turn up and play with no worries. I think I have the French covered!

Hi Barry and all those Lucky Lundin Linksters,

My wife and I are in Europe right now on vacation (which is great) but unfortunately we leave out of London on the 16th (which is not so great)! Logistics make it too difficult to change our departure so I'll be tipping my hat to you all as we wing back to Canada. Anyway, I hope to be able to make it out to a future event, perhaps in the spring/summer. Knowing that Edinburgh is a better jumping-off point is good intel for future planning.
