LOS question

Post by Ed Youngstrom » Tue Aug 10, 2010 2:43 pm

Barry,

First let me say "thank you" for an interesting article in Wargames Illustrated. I absolutely love this kind of article.

Second, a question on LOS, especially in relation to routing units. My opponent seemed to think that units' LOS was restricted to their firing arc, and therefore could not "see" units behind them, either for support or in order to check Resolve for routing units.

My interpretation was that the line of sight mentioned in on page 100 only referred to intervening terrain, not that there is a restriction due to the facing of a unit.

Could I have a clarification, please?

Thanks,

Ed

I'm not Barry but I'm not Spartacus either

I'd sort this out by arguing that there's always somebody looking in the wrong direction

"Hey look lads, behind us, the 24th are running away"

Valleyboy is correct... I don't know of any rule set that restricts LoS for routing friendlies, etc. to the forward fire arc. The fire arc is only meant to control effective fire...
