ACW at Partizan

Post by General Schnapps » Fri Sep 10, 2010 7:12 pm

Highlight of the Partizan show last Sunday was a fantastic ACW game in one of the smaller rooms off the corridor. Not sure who put it on, I did mean to go back and find out some info but didn't
If anyone knows what figures were used and if all the equipment / buildings etc are commercially available or were scratchbuild I would love to know.
I'm a bit of a 25-28mm anorak and can identify most things in that scale but these appeared to be possibly 10mm?
I usually dismiss smaller scale games ( mainly because I can't see the damned things ) but this one was nothing short of inspiring.
cheers for any help

The game was put on (I think) by the North Hull Wargames Club (of Long Road North and Panzer Marsch fame). I thought the figures were 15s but I might be wrong. Anyway they may have a website/blog and perhaps you could contact them that way.
Good luck!

Steve,
I think you are correct , Henry Hyde posted some pictures from Partizan which included the ACW game and they do look like 15mm on closer inspection.
The figures and buildings I would imagine are available from the normal 15mm manufacturers but I'm not sure about the Rebel earthworks or the pontoon bridge, I'll contact the North Hull club and try to find out.
thanks for the reply
