K U R A S S I E R !!!

Post by barr7430 » Tue Aug 28, 2012 11:18 pm

We are nearly there with the Cuirassiers now and this will be the most extensive group of sculpts on a single subject yet. I am really excited about them. The possibilities to mix them with existing cavalry types will be enormous and with the number of command variants coming out we'll have scope for creative command vignettes.

Officers and cornets will come with English helmets, German helmets, soft hats , tricornes and bareheaded. They will have cuirasses over coats , under coats and front plate only. This means 10 command sets alone. The troopers have similar variants. In all I think there are now more than 40 models and the packs will come in somewhere about 16-20.

Wow, quite an impressive combination.

Which is good, because the horse in Spain are about as diverse!

I have uploaded about 15 photos of some of the new Cuirassier masters I received today. There will be nearly 60 variants in total now and these first 39 are going for mastering this week. I believe it is the most comprehensive selection available.

Yup, thanks Guys, there is a glitch on that Gallery which I hope Stuart will sort very soon. I literally had 18 hours at home between 1600 Friday and Saturday morning... washing laundered, master sculpts checked and photographed, about 20 warfare orders done, photo'ed and entered 8 new codes in the shop, 2 showers, 2 meals, packed.... out the door for another 3 weeks....

I am frustrated because I WANT YOU TO SEE THESE AS I THINK THEY ARE BLOODY GOOD! 8)

Cheers

I know we still have a glitch on the pix (I think Stuart may be away for the weekend). I have just received pix of the next 20 sculpts which if anything are even more exciting that the first 35. I will share these pix too when I get back to base. It is going to be a big Autumn for Warfare :D :D

It is good for my wallet that the Kürassiers are not available yet :D
Otherwise I would order a "few"

OK.... Now we are back in business. The breadth of options is now obvious. Many of the figures can be used across the period 1675-1720 so the scope is vast for everything from Late Dutch Wars to GNW. The balance of sculpts (about 25) just blows the whole thing wide open as you will see when I upload those pix next weekend when I get home.

Barry,

the pictures show all Horsemen without a saddle so I presume the horses will be sculpted with them :| As I am no expert in that matter and have only a very narrow view of that age will there be different types of saddle clothes, i.e., round or pointed edges?
I wonder if all nations would have the same style of saddlecloth for their thick brothers
But I'm willing to take hints :D
