Bookings can now be made for the 2014 Weekenders.

But first, the bad news....

The cost of the Derby hotel has gone up (should have gone up last year - but we held them at bay because we had already reserved the dates the previous year...!). The cost for the Derby October Weekend is now £275. This is the same price that we have costed for the March Weekender in Dumfries (at the very nice Cairndale Hotel) - so everything is equal.

But now the good news...

Both Weekender prices now include a Friday night meal (I know we had one last time at Derby - but we should'nt have really!!!) and as an added bonus, the March Weekender also has 'free entry' for any of you that may wish to go, to a Comedy Club/3 Comedians night at the Cairndale http://www.cairndale.co.uk on the night we arrive (no comments about Barry, Bob or myself...please...!!!!!).

So all things being equal, not much difference in previous years costs, once you had paid for your own Friday night meal.

Now you get Full Board provisions throughout the Weekend.

Games are yet to be decided by the 3 Amigos...but they will be top draw as usual and there will be some 'new scenery' now that my own company is making terrain, by the acre at present - may as well show some of it off!

So...we have 21/22/23 March in Dumfries and 10/11/12 October in Derby. Places are limited to 16 guests and I know a good number of you have already given a 'provisional yes' already and we are holding these for your full confirmation - you know who you are... As always its first come, first served and once the 16 places are filled we will revert to a 'reserve/waiting list' for anyone else who is interested.

Any queries or questions, direct them on this thread or PM me through the message board.

Barry will hopefully be tweaking the previous booking forms we used for 2013 (shortly) with the 2014 dates...but we can 'ad-lib' for now as required.

Unfortunately I can't make that weekend as it is just a week away from my daughters wedding so will (a) have no money left and (b) be expected to entertain the in-laws on their visit to Scotland.

Just back from a month in Havana. Please pencil me in for both weekenders!

Sorry for my radio silence over the last few weeks chaps.... a bit caught up in the machinery

October at Derby is shaping up nicely and we can promise some fairly dramatic BLB gaming for that.

March, we are a bit slow on numbers at the moment and will need to make a decision on venue very soon. We're trying to strike the right balance on location/accessibility and cost. Although we have a provisional arrangement for Dumfries we will confirm that if we can get it at a similar rate as Derby, otherwise we'll have a look for an alternative within the price bracket.

If anyone is thinking about it but hasn't decided to tell us yet, now would be a good time! With about 11 weeks to go we need to crack on and firm up the details.

Would be great if the possible participants call in soon as it decides how and from where I am going to enter your country.

If Dumfries is only a possibilty but not certainty I will have to travel up from the south again

I'm currently working on shift swaps for Dumfries, so put me down as a definite maybe.
