Scanian War -- Swedish infantry battalion guns?

Post by Charlie Dozen » Thu Jul 31, 2014 9:47 pm

According to the information in Dan Schorr's "Danish Infantry 1675-79" each Danish battalion had two 3lb guns. I don't have any information on the Swedish infantry battalion guns, does anyone here know if they had them?
Thanks

The Scanian War is not my strong suit, but in the OOB for the battle of Lund there were eigth (possibly twelve) cannons deployed in the intervals between the ten Swedish battalions. The Swedish army brought eight 6-pounder cannons to the battle and since Erik Dahlberg drew 12 cannons in his first battle plan there might have been an additional four 3-pounder cannons deployed. However, this hardly qualify as any form of institutional "regimental artillery" which I do not think the Swedes had at this time.
