GNW Polish Winged Hussars

Post by RogerC » Fri Oct 07, 2016 5:18 pm

Polish Winged Hussars back from the basing department. These are some of the nicest figures I ahve painted in a very long time and really pleased with them. Write up and more pictures on the blog.

NICE!! Very lovely! I like them.

It is believed that in 1706 at the Battle of Kalisz the Polish Mounted Force consisted of 6000 Hussaria and 4000 Pancerni(Dragoons).
So...

„Macht Euch Euren Dregg alleene“

"Sort your filth out by yourself!" The King of Saxony Friedrich August III., at his abdication 1918, referred to the quarrels in the parliament and the squabbling within the provisional government.

Ah yes, I do intend more but may stop at two Brigades. Two Each of Pancerni and Winged Hussars three light Valaks/Cossacks/ Tatars and one of Daragoons eventually. Not sure I can stretch to 10,000 though....

Superb sir, just superb,
Seriously these are really good, and you are making it very hard for me to keep my GNW project on track and not get a couple of boxes of warlord winged hussars

Lovely work!
Polish winged hussars always tend to look great no matter which company they come from.

Roger,

another superb unit, you are making it very hard for me to stick to my plan of just Swedes and Russians, I can see some Poles on the horizon

What make are they?

Great work

Mark the Poles can happily fight alongside the Russians, although you might need a lot of them to fight off the Swedes.
