Last battalion of Saxon Guard back from the basing department. Mix of Wargames Factory/Warlord plastics and Ebor and Foundry Metals. A few more pics on the blog.

Very nice, Roger:-)

Pardon my Question..but Red laces for the Guard?
I am aware of White and Yellow but Red?

Both Guard Regiments were defined by different Button and lace colors.

White/Pewter for the "Deutsche Garde" Saxon Foot Guards
Yellow/Brass for the "Polnische Garde" Polish Foot Guard(not Crown Guard)

There was a mentioning of red Neck cloth by Kuhn but that is nowhere else mentioned.

Oh. Yes. I remember now. We had that conversation a while ago. With Dan Schorr chiming in too.

It is my believe that, as well as Tacitus website seems to be researched, the most reliable source of information on Saxons are the Saxons themselves.

But, by all means, continue with that source. No problem with that.
It's just me

Cheers,
Günter
