Open Order vs. Close Order

Post by Redmist1122 » Sat Mar 01, 2014 2:42 pm

Gents,
Is there any restrictions or limitations as to what factions can use or not use either movement order?

Thank you.

Not as the rules are written. Close order isn't so much a military precision formation as a physical grouping. Mobs wouldn't hold neat ranks, but the packed wall of humanity works as close order in Donnybrook. Even recruit native troops might be seen as cluster together for security rather than a purpose ordered shield wall.

You are certainly free to impose formation restrictions if you feel it necessary to enforce historical (or historical stereotype) norms to model a specific theater.

Clarence,
Just a little overwhelmed by the excellent eye candy, I only saw the two orders briefly mentioned and didn't want to miss something.

Thank you.
