VAE VICTUS REVIEW

Post by barr7430 » Thu Mar 06, 2014 1:01 pm

My French is pretty hopeless but there appears to be a favourable review of Donnybrook this month! I noticed words like 'tres bon' and thought to myself.... they like it!

Merci Beacoup Vae Victis! 8)

The review is a positive one. It's a long piece, so a full translation would take way too long to do and much of the text describes how the rules system works anyway, but the gist of it is that the reviewer enjoyed Donnybrook, as the parting lines show - my translation :

'All in all, Donnybrook is a set of rules that is well worth looking into if one is interested in the period. It clearly favours playability over historical accuracy but the rules are pleasant and catchy, with a very nice layout.'
