I,ve wittered on to a couple of you about this. We've used an article in this months wargames soldiers and strategy to run a mini campaign or linked series of battles. The actual article is about Cortez and the exploration of South America but it is very easy to change the period/geographic location.
We divided the numbers by 10, so instead of 500 men and 200 horses we used 50 and 20
If gave us 4 very enjoyable linked games.
As a matter of interest there were only 2 survivors in our campaigning exploration
Ideal for donnybrook.
You could use this for government troops in Scotland. The Darien scheme or many others!
