Ray

This is good news indeed.

I see what you mean about Foundry being 25mm. I have just finished my British Household Cavalry Brigade and needed a Hussar officer as an Aide de Camp for Somerset. The Foundry Hussar Officer is tiny compared to the Perry heavy cavalry. It is not too bad compared to the Perry Major General figure but it will need a bit of elevation.

Just going of on a slight tangent here. Does anyone know of a manufacturer who produces pre 1812 Light Dragoons (in the Tarleton helmet) ?.

Cheers

Thanks Guys.

My only concern is that Front Rank may not fit in with the Perry Plastics too well but that's not a big issue

Ray,

For reference, the pre-1812 Front Rank British Light Dragoons, look as follows (when stuck in the hands of a rank amateur painter!) when painted as the 12th Light Dragoons [Prince of Wales' Own]:

Hope that helps with your decision-making. In my experience, Front Rank produce among the largest 28mm figures, and should match up well to Perrys for 'size'. ('Style' is a more subjective call.)

Just myself, Barry. My best work on a good day struggles reach a level most people consider 'average'. I'm OK with that however, as I'm a wargamer first, and a painter second.
