Perfect! Just what I was hoping for. I emailed them a couple of months back asking about Prussians for 1815 and about the possibility of plastics. At the time they said "You never know". Little teasers.

This is interesting news from Perry Miniatures, Dave, one thing at a time mate......Russian's first!!!

I know Ray, it's just that Prussians were the first wargames figures I painted and gamed with and I was really disappointed when the rest of the guys I gamed with all sold off their figures so with no one else to game with I had to sell mine too. You are correct, one thing at a time.
Dave's mantra "paint Russians first" "paint Russians first" etc....

In 2012 I've got the Prussian Garde du Corps (4 Sqns), Guard Light Cav (4 Sqns), 3 Cuirassier Regts (4 Sqns) each, Freiwilligerjager (3 Sqns), Guard Horse & 2 Line Horse Artillery Batteries to put together.
So whats the Perry Bro's got planned for their Prussians are they bringing out infantry or cavalry first???
How far are you going with your Ruskie's Dave???
Best Wishes.......Ray.
That will be a nice looking force of Prussians Ray. I'll ask Alan P. when I see him at Partizan next week what he is planning on doing for the Prussians but knowing him it will be all the troops that fought in 1815.
I am aiming to do at least a Corps of Russian infantry and a division of cavalry. I'm almost finished the first Division and made a start on the second one. I got a bit fed up painting all the infantry so for a change I have been painting some of the cavalry Division but only 3 squadrons so far.
Cheers

I forgot to mention that even Mr Jack was enthusing about the Prussians so that was high praise indeed considering there wasn't a single female figure in the range. Hopefully we might have another convert to the cause.

As suppose many of you already know, but the Perrys will apparently only do the Line, while Warlord Games will do the Reserve and Landwehr.

Nice figurines, but no match for the Perrys... and certainly no match for my multipose, ultradynamic and insanely well casted Calpe miniatures...

Hmmm... Chummy - I think Victrix tried to get similar coordination, maybe splitting Brits and French, but got the cold shoulder...

Phew! Glad I had already decided to do 1805 to 1812 or the old resolve would under severe pressure now. Always had a soft spot for Prussioans, my first wargames army in 15mm; was gutted when they were stolen from our old wargames club

I've done British in three or four scale in the last 25 years, Victrix French made me want to do French for the first time. Now I needed something to oppose them, but didn't want to do Brits again. With Perry and Warlord chuking Prussians out at the same time, I have that answer.
