Blueprint for my Russian division

Post by Gunfreak » Wed Jul 27, 2011 7:38 pm

So this is a post 1812 division which should have 8 musketer battalions and 4 jeger.

But to save some money I've dropped 1 or 2 jeger battalions with the excuse of them beeing off protecting a flank or a brigade.

Add to that a battery, and cav.

The problem is the cav, what would be the the most standard cav suport for an regular infantry division? I'm thinking two units of dragoons?

Gunfreak,

The most usual Cavalry was the Hussars, who were attached as some kind of brigade mostly because of the huge size of them. Most of those hussar regiments had 6 to 8 squadrons each. Dragons and the others were grouped in Cavalry Divisions.

Hope that helps
