An evening at the club and more Frenchmen (on both sides) bite the dust. A venture into the Vendee 1794 resulting in another entertaining encounter to find out which of the two forces was the worst, a historical fact born out during the game!

I've always fancied this period but could never get anyone at the SESWC club interested. I see that you're in Morpeth so I hope your figures are safe from all the flooding?

We played a similar game last night in the group. Always fun to use the dross in a game and you never can tell just what will happen. Love it.

Dave, I know.
I am interested in the 1792-1795 period in the Nethelands, Belgium and Germany.
Have already a lot of figures lying around (well, in boxes) but the time is the problem. We are now preparing for Crisis/Antwerp (15mm Balck Powder Napoleonic in Spain) and our theme for next year will be Early Renaissance in the Netherlands or Italy. Maybe then some time to start the FR.

Sorry for the delay lads just back from hols.
Tim, the Royalists are made up from Reiver Castings 'Monmouth Rebels' range and Old Glory AWI militia, quite a mixture! While the Republicans are nearly all Old Glory Early Nap, technically the uniforms are incorrect as the tail skirt should have been longer but the collection was started long before the likes of Eureka got going and frankly I couldn't afford the quantity of figures I have in the collection if I had gone with Eureka.

Dave, did you produce the Royalist flags or are they available somewhere?
Finally decided to bite the bullet and go with this period but doing it for the skirmish rules from Clarence and not the big battle games that you are putting on as I will have to be painting both sides. First few Royalists already painted.
