corn fields: a question of measures

Post by Belg » Mon Oct 26, 2015 5:39 pm

according to you, the corn fields for scenarios with 28mm miniatures, rectangles measuring cm. 15 x 10 may go well? Or it is better to make them larger, such as cm. 15 x 20 or cm. 30 x 20?
With our system of basing (single base cm. 2.5 x 2.5 for Infantry, cm. 2.5 x 5 for Cavalry) a Unit (Battalion) of 24 Infantry miniatures occupies the space below:
- In column (6 rows of 4 figures): cm. 10 (front) x 15
- In line (3 rows of 8 miniatures): cm. 20 (front) x 7.5

To what extent do you made your cornfields?

We would have also the possibility to place two rectangles so as to form a configuration of the ground of greater dimensions, the type of that of this photo, with a small country lane that separates the two "fields":

Many thanks
