DEMI BRIGADES

Hi all - anyone have any thoughts as to how best to represent these on the war-game table.
The French Revolutionary Wars enable a great variety of uniforms and flags that I want to capture.
But I don't really have the space for 3 x 36 figure units to represent one Demi-brigade.
has anyone got any clever ideas as to how to portray them that maintains three identifiable elements for each Demi-brigade.
I'm doing this in 28mm.
